Facilitation

I have been facilitating workshops and projects for the past ten years. I am experienced in and passionate about working with young people, adults (professionals and community-based) as well as those with additional support needs.

Key areas I focus on for non-production specific workshops are directingacting, devisingphysical theatre, new writing and drama (all round).

Current projects include:

Template

A new devising project for young people funded by Creative Scotland in association with PACE Theatre Company. I conceived the project in response to the lack of drama provision across primary schools and to give young people the opportunity to articulate their experiences of the past few years whilst optimistically look to the future.

Delivered in two strands, I’ll work with a number of classes to devise new shows led by their ideas and will also create a blueprint document which guides teachers through the process of devising their own shows.

Recent facilitation work includes:

Connected, Right2Dance in association with PACE Theatre Company and Erskine Arts
I delivered and directed the drama component of this inter-generational project with local families, exploring Paisley’s history and personal stories to create two short films.

We have always received very positive feedback from our participants about Jordan’s work such as: making groups feel at ease with his approach; his energy; and the educational / artistic value in his work. He is a delight and pleasure to work with.

My approach with all workshops and facilitation projects is to work alongside participants, inspiring them to take ownership of their work and encouraging development within their individual skillsets. I am experienced in working with large groups of varying abilities, and passionate about recognising potential within every participant.
