Producing

I enjoy making things happen, whether in a solo capacity or as part of a team. I’ve got experience as a producer, project manager, company manager and operations manager. I’m a strong, calm communicator with an eye for detail.

Recent producing roles include:

Rep Stripped, Dundee Rep Theatre

In my current role as Director of Rep Stripped, I have been responsible for conceiving a new festival at Dundee Rep Theatre in April 2019.

Working in collaboration with producer Carla Almeida, we developed a concept for the festival - in response to the brief of ‘a festival of new work’ - and created a series of opportunities to enable artists in Dundee and across Scotland to develop new ideas for plays and productions. After a very successful call-out, receiving 150 applications, our programme features over 30 artists from across the country - some emerging, some established and all representing a diversity across art forms.

My role is multi-faceted, directing various projects across the programme but chiefly acting as a co-producer and facilitator of the project - being a main point of contact for artists; liaising with marketing, production and other departments across the venue; securing partners in National Theatre of Scotland and Playwrights’ Studio Scotland; scheduling; casting; and on-site management of the festival among other tasks.

Various Projects, In Motion Theatre Company

As co-founder and co-Creative Director (until July 2018), of the Glasgow-based new writing company, I produced and co-produced various projects including:

Winter Words | Glasgow | December 2017
New writing festival

Conceiving a pub-theatre new writing festival with my co-collaborators, I was responsible for contracting and liaising with artists; liaising with the venue team; enlisting a production team and sourcing technical equipment; creating marketing collateral; developing and delivering a marketing strategy; managing the minimal festival budget; setting up a box office including card payments; project management on site; and generally ensuring smooth delivery of the project.

The festival welcomed almost 300 audience members across one weekend, with a number of sold out performances and positive responses.

DRAFT | London, Edinburgh & Glasgow | 2015 - 2018
New writing event

Conceiving and running a successful new writing development event in London, I worked with co-collaborators to bring the event to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

With each event, I managed the submissions process and worked in partnership on selecting scripts; casting; facilitating development sessions with writers; scheduling and hosting the event. I ran the box office and venue liaison side of things, ensuring a smooth delivery of the project.

From 2015-2018, I worked with over 50 writers to support the development of their work.

5 Kilo Sugar, Edinburgh Fringe 2015

I was the producer of the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe run of this comedy play by Israeli writer Gur Koren, directed by Tik-sho-ret Artistic Director Ariella Eshed.

I was responsible for various aspects of the production run, including securing the venue; managing venue and Fringe society registration and contracting process; scheduling rehearsals; fundraising; facilitating production meetings; marketing and press; website design; and being the main point of contact for the company.

The show received strong critical response and audience numbers across the run, and has gone on to have a further life in London.
