I am a Scottish theatre director who trained at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. I was a Resident Trainee Director at the King's Head Theatre. I tell bold stories, new and old, in a visual manner.
In 2016, I co-founded In Motion Theatre Company and was co-Creative Director of the Glasgow-based new writing company until July 2018. For the company, my directing credits include: Shattered by Lisa Nicoll (Scottish Tour); WIRED by Lesley Wilson (Edinburgh Fringe 2017); Dear Jane by Daniel Cameron (Winter Words Festival 2017, Glasgow).
Other directing credits include: Success by Nick Drake (Royal Lyceum Theatre); We Were Kings by Daniel Cameron (Edinburgh Fringe 2014). I have directed various scripts in development as part of events such as Words Words Words (Traverse Theatre); Stage to Page (Glasgow); Rapid Write Response (theatre503).
As an assistant director, my credits include: Passing Places by Stephen Greenhorn (Dundee Rep Theatre, dir. Andrew Panton); Dido & Aeneas by Henry Purcell (King's Head Theatre, dir. Valentina Cesci); Mad Forest by Caryl Churchill (Embassy Theatre, dir. Russel Bolam).
As a facilitator, I work regularly with Royal Lyceum Theatre in youth, community and adult drama contexts. I recently collaborated with PACE Theatre Company as a mentor on Write Here Write Now, a new writing project for young people across Scotland.
I am also an experienced company manager, having toured internationally with DV8 Physical Theatre's production of JOHN; nationally with Balletboyz on Life; and nationally with Zest Theatre's productions of Thrive & Gatecrash.
I am the director of Rep Stripped, a 10 day festival of new work at Dundee Rep in April 2019. I’ll be curating the festival in collaboration with creative producer Carla Almeida and directing work within the programme.
