A festival of new work | Dundee Rep Theatre | Director | 18th - 27th April 2019
Rep Stripped is a new festival showcasing the best as-yet-unseen stories for the stage from Dundee and across the country in a stripped back, intimate environment.
Rep Stripped is a playing space for local and national artists to test out their ideas, and a unique experience for an audience to be the first to see them.
As the director of the project, I have programmed and developed the festival in collaboration with Carla Marina Almeida. I’ll also be directing work across the programme.
I’m proud to be celebrating the work of theatre makers across Dundee and Scotland, with a programme of over 30 writers, directors, solo artists and companies. The programme boasts new plays-in-the-making; work-in-progress sharings of new musicals; early developments of new devised shows; puppetry; site-specific work; physical theatre; and more including a workshop programme from National Theatre of Scotland and Playwrights’ Studio Scotland.
I’m especially proud to be developing and directing Daniel Cameron’s new play CARAVAN, which will have a few sharings across the festival and be developed in between in response to audience feedback.
